Music and me....

What could be better than spending an hour lunchtime popping a playlsit together for a dinner party with friends tonight. Glass of bubbly in hand, and a visual memory for any thing and everything...usually tied to music in some crazy way for me.

Putting it together l was transformed back to Italy - 17 yrs old dancing with my Italian boy friend in a discoteque. l could smell his cologne, see his draw dropping smile, and effortless style .  Shame he turned out to be a meany!

Bob Marley - lying on the beach in Crete many moons ago..catching way too much sun, but having the best time of my life.

The breathtakingly smokey hypnotic voice of Guy Garvey (lead singer from Elbow), the kind of voice that could elicit a smoldering night between the sheets...

Barry White - Not the best of visuals but recall making a hasty run from the loo to the dance floor to strut my stuff to any of his tunes. This particular instance my very short skirt was tightly tucked into my underwear - while l, without-a-care-in-the-world made a beeline for the dance floor un-knowingly bare bottomed. A good giggle for all involved considering l made it though at least two songs. Still love the song mind....

James Brown - Dancing till 5 a.m at some seedy dance party in the thick of Brooklyn back when l was fresh of the boat from England.

Amy Winehouse - My brave rendition of "Some unholy war"  at karaoke - horrific ...a great night!

Ethiopiques, Tezeta - Every single hair on my body stands up when l hear this song. l heard it originally in a local coffee shop.

Dorfmeister - K&D Sessions. If that album wasn't made for sex,  or speeding on your bike fearlessly through the streets...l don't know what is.

l listen to music daily..in some form or another - Playlists, Podcasts, English radio shows, Pandora, and now of course iTunes have come out with their own itunes radio station.

l will take it anyway it comes.....
