Ready to be inspired!

This quote hit me like a ton of bricks early this morning via a friends post on good olde FB. Gosh if this is not a mid-life wake-up call... then all hope is lost.

“To each there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.” ― Winston Churchill.

Some are beyond fortunate career-wise hitting their stride early in life (which can be a blessing/and a curse at the same time), others are forced into making ends meet, or afraid of change, thus never able to reach their full potential......or possess their dream job.

Sometimes it can take a simple quote, coffee with a friend, a piece of art work, an Ad on the train, a new friend washing you with a fresh perspective on life, a vulnerable episode that leaves you hungry for change ...you name it!

Today l was jolted by not one, but three separate encounters that have inspired me to change the record as it were.....and put some creative gumption into my quest for ....*what's next*. It simply wont come to me by chance (as it has in past), and will be brutally disappointing to miss the bus to my finest hour....which has yet to come.  Baby steps or strides --  forward being the direction.

Are you prepared for that tap on the shoulder? Maybe Churchill's quote will put the wind in your sails.....
